Recently, a conference was held to award and sign contracts for the 2021 "Basket of Vegetables" construction project in Zhuhai. The Municipal Agriculture and Rural Bureau recognized the Huafa Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park project as one of the first "Basket of Vegetables" production and supply bases in our city. Huafa Group will work together with the Zhuhai Agriculture and Rural Bureau to comprehensively promote the construction of the "vegetable basket" quality and safety standard system in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, ensuring food safety on the tongue of Zhuhai citizens.

In 2021, the Zhuhai Municipal Government comprehensively promoted the construction of the "basket of vegetables", strengthened the shortcomings in the supply of "basket of vegetables" products, established and improved a long-term mechanism for stabilizing the market and ensuring supply of "basket of vegetables" products, guaranteed the effective and safe supply of "basket of vegetables" products, especially in emergency situations such as sudden natural disasters and public safety incidents, and promoted the sustainable development of "basket of vegetables" enterprises. The annual "Basket of Vegetables" construction project in Zhuhai City is a major livelihood project that has been launched throughout the city for three years in accordance with the "Work Plan for Promoting the Construction of Baskets of Vegetables" issued by the municipal government in July 2020. The municipal finance allocates 100 million yuan of construction funds annually to support the construction of production bases and distribution platforms, as well as brand building and agricultural product quality and safety supervision. At the beginning of 2021, the municipal government issued an implementation plan for the construction of the "vegetable basket", which stipulated six approval and recognition standards for stable production and supply bases, including minimum planting area, breeding quantity, and traceability requirements, as well as five conditions that distribution platform enterprises must meet. The "vegetable basket" enterprises in the city were assessed, and the approval process, policy support standards, disciplinary measures, supervision, testing, and assessment methods were clarified, maximizing the enthusiasm of the city's "vegetable basket" supply guarantee enterprises to participate in the construction of the "vegetable basket".

The demonstration park has selected over 30 excellent varieties from more than 3000 high-quality sources worldwide, using the world's leading semi enclosed intelligent glass greenhouse and equipped with 18 high-end facility systems. With a safe, healthy, and ecological planting concept, it has achieved GAP and HACCP dual system certification in all production processes, including environmental control, soilless cultivation, bee pollination, biological control, pure water irrigation, precise nutrition control, and intelligent post harvest management. It strictly implements the traceability system from seeds to dining tables, with an annual output of up to 7000 tons, and will continue to supply pure, safe, and green high-quality fruits and vegetables to the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
